Holiday Season

     The holiday season is already upon us. Can you believe it’s already November!? We have Thanksgiving coming up then Christmas and New Years will be here before you know it! With the holiday season coming, a lot of us will be traveling to visit friends and family. The holidays are a time for friends and family to get together and enjoy each other’s company. We should all put down our electronic devices and enjoy the company of each other. You never know if this could be the last holiday you get with a loved one. Some of my favorite Bible verses about the holiday seasons are:

“All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.” - 2 Corinthians 4:15

“You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.” - 2 Corinthians 9:11

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this." - Isaiah 9:6-7

“We love because he first loved us.” - John 4:19

“Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” - 1 Timothy 5:8

“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” - Colossians 3:13
