Turning Your Back on God

When we're kids, our parents try and teach us the difference between right and wrong. It's mostly because  they don't want to see us get hurt. Whether we listen or not, our parents are there for us. The same can be said with God! He protects us. He is always there for us. No matter what happens in our life, He will be right by our side when we call.

But what if we decide to turn our backs on him? What happens? If we turn our backs on God, then He can't be there to protect us and guide us. God will always try to be that voice in the back of our heads telling us what is wrong but after blocking it out for so long the voice will eventually go away. This doesn't mean that God has given up on us... its during this time that He is waiting for us to return.

When you do return, God will be waiting with open arms much like the story Jesus told in Luke 15: 11-32. The story of a man and his two sons, one leaves, loses everything, and returns in shame to his father, but the father welcomes him home with open arms and throws a huge feast in celebration of him coming home.

"For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,  And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,  If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.  For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God"Hebrews 6:4‭-‬7

In conclusion, God will always be there for us but we must listen to what he has to say. We love hearing from our supporters!
