How to Handle Disappointment

When dealing with disappointment as people we can handle it a few different ways. Some people will get angry either at themselves or at the person that caused the disappointment. Others may feel bad because they didn't get the position they wanted or they didn't get the grade they felt they deserve which can cause depression.

When these types of situations arise in our life, we should look toward God and ask him for help and look at it in a different way. We don't always know God’s plan, so what we see as a disappointment, might be God's way of steering you in the direction of purpose that he has for your life.
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Roman's 8:28

What we may see as disappointment might be God just directing us in a better path for our life.

“Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6
