A Dad's Job

Fathers day was last week and that had me thinking what the bible said about the job of being a father. We normally think of what it takes to be a dad as being there for your kids, teaching them right from wrong, and teaching them life's lessons.
The Bible mentions, God teaches us the difference between right and wrong. That's what we should be doing for our kids as well. Once they know the difference between the two, we should discipline them once they break the rules just like God may have to correct us if we stray to far away from him.
My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord ; neither be weary of his correction:  For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.Proverbs 3:11‭-‬12
Another thing that the Bible mentioned is that God will always be there to protect you just like we [fathers] should always be there for our kids, no matter what the case or reason. Listen to them and protect them just like God does with us.
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.Joshua 1:9 KJV
In conclusion, God wants us to be there for our kids just like he is for us. Did you do anything special for Father's Day? Let us know in the comments. We love hearing from our supporters!
