God Is Our Shield

In ancient times, warriors would go to battle with a sword and sheild ready to fight the enemy. In more modern times, we have guns and bullet proof vests to protect us

As Christians, we also have this armory too. God is our sheild and the bible is our sword. Now that doesn't mean go attack people with the bible literally. What it means is when the devil throws his traps in our way, we need to be ready for them.

For example, you wake up late. You can't seem to find anything you need and on top of it all traffic is the worst. Instead of getting frustrated and yelling, think about your favorite bible verse and say a pray that God will give you patience.

Another way that God protects us is from non believers. People will disagree with your faith in life and tell you things that they believe in. That's another way the bible can help us "go on the attack" by remembering those verses that counter what the person may be saying or even show them in the bible where God says that it is wrong.

"Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked."Ephesians 6:16 KJV

"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him."Psalms 28:7 KJV

"Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him."Proverbs 30:5 KJV

In the end, trust God and read the bible as much as possible because there may come a time where you will be tested and those tools will be there ready for you to use. Don’t forget to subscribe and leave us a comment.
