God & Golf

Unless your a pro golfer when you tee off on a par 5, the ball might not go as far as you want or it might take a turn into the rough or worse. So now imagine us as the ball and your end goal as the hole. We take off towards our goal.

Maybe it's a new job. You graduate school, start looking for that perfect job, but you don't get the interview. Then you get a job with a company you may not love but it's a do able job and you know you can work hard at it and advance. Kinda like trying to get yourself out of the rough. You may have to hit the ball 2 or 3 times to get back on the fairway.

Now you're working your way up in your job. You may have to stay in the role longer than you expected or even switch positions, all moving towards your ultimate goal. Ultimately, after several attempts you make it on to the green and sink the putt. It wasn't the way you imagined when you teed off at the beginning but you made it in

In life, God could make you take the same route. It may take you longer than expected to get your ultimate job. A perfect example is Kurt Warner. A lot of you know his story but if you don't...he was a bag boy at a grocery store. He started playing football in semi-pro league and eventually made it to the NFL. He signed with the St. Louis Rams and went on to win the league MVP twice, a Super Bowl, and Super Bowl MVP. He is now a NFL Hall of Famer!

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.  Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord , and depart from evil.  It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.  Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:  So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.  My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord ; neither be weary of his correction:" Proverbs 3:5‭-‬11 KJV

In the end, trust God's plan for you. Let Him guide your way and pray that He will show you the best way to go.  Don’t forget to subscribe and leave us a comment.
