Be Ready...for He is coming

My friends and I are currently reading Revelations in our daily bible plan and within those pages are many warnings of what is to come. Warnings of deception, war, famine, and destruction. Revelations is a hard chapter to truly understand because it describes events using symbolism which can be interpreted in many ways. One thing is for sure, we must all be ready for the day Jesus returns.

"for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night."1 Thessalonians 5:2

Our Father in Heaven is the only one who knows when that day will come. Not even Jesus knows the day or time but tells us to be ready...it will surprise all...and Jesus will return like a thief in the night.

"But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on your guard and stay alert! For you do not know when the appointed time will come. It is like a man going on a journey who left his house, put each servant in charge of his own task, and instructed the doorkeeper to keep watch. Therefore keep watch, because you do not know when the master of the house will return—whether in the evening, at midnight, when the rooster crows, or in the morning. Otherwise, he may arrive without notice and find you sleeping. And what I say to you, I say to everyone: Keep watch!” - Mark 13:32-37

Many have claimed to know when the earth will end. Time and time again, their predictions have been proven wrong by the passage of time. When you hear of future predictions, pay no heed to it, because if Jesus doesn't know the day, why would you think man could?

It could be during this generation, or the next. We don't know when. So I urge all of you, be ready at any given moment! Profess that Jesus is our Lord and Savior, who died on the cross for ALL our sins. That Jesus was risen from the dead by God and with the blood of Christ, our sins are forgiven. Then live your life for God. Do your very best to remove sin from your life so that when Jesus arrives...you'll be ready.
