Having our Faith Tested

Back in ancient times God would test his believers out in the wilderness, like Moses who went through the 40 days and 40 nights without eating or drinking because he was instructed to by God.

In our current life, God will do the same thing. It might not be as extreme as some of the things that we read about in the Bible, but we as Christians are still being tested. Some of the tests that we go through may be financial, somebody testing our faith, or even a test of our patience. No matter the situation if you keep your faith in God and pray He will guide us just like he did Moses.

“And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.  And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.” - Deuteronomy 8:2

Keep your faith in God because the reason he is testing you is only to see how much you can handle and at the end of it, you will come out a stronger person

If you have any examples of where you were being tested, feel free to share in the comments. We would love to hear back from our readers!

  1. I love what 1 Corinthians 10:13 says that our tests is within our limits. God will not allow us to be tempted beyond our capacity

    1. Absolutely Chris. God knows our limits! When others are stressed out, we need to be there to remind them of this verse and visa versa. No matter what we are going through in life, nothing can keep us down, nothing can stand against us, because God is right there with us! All we need to do is ask for His help.
