Growing your Faith

As Christians, we need to read our Bibles daily and pray to grow our faith and relationship with Christ. I heard this compared to watering a flower. Praying and reading the Bible is the equivalent to the water. We are the flower. Without water the flower won’t grow. Without praying and reading the Bible, our faith and relationship with Jesus won’t grow.
In today’s society, there are countless ways to read the Bible. You may own a physical copy of the Bible and read that. You may use your phone, tablet, or computer to the read the Bible. I highly recommend installing the Bible app on your device. I personally use that app and it has Bible plans you can do alone or with friends. I do Bible plans with my friends. There are topics galore to choose from. There are sports, love, anxiety, depression, etc. to choose from. I use this app every day in the morning right after I wake up. The app has a tracker that tells you how many perfect weeks you have logged on and it tells how many current streak (days) you’ve been logging on the app.
Praying is something I do before I go to sleep and at different times throughout the day.  I pray before I read in the Bible app too every morning.  I suggest making a list of your prayer requests and then crossing them off as they are answered. My parents have been doing that for years. You can also add new things to the list or even make a new list daily, weekly, monthly, or whenever needed.

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.”2 Peter 3:18
“Command and teach these things. Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you. Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress."1 Timothy 4:11-14
