Christians Facing Criticism Over Their Faith in God

The world can be tough to those who speak openly of Christ and God. We are asked to go out into the world and share the Word yet we may face criticism and discouragement from others. People are quick to criticize others; that they envy or do not understand

Something that we must remember is that we are human. We can't cast judgement or retaliate on those who treat us poorly or criticize us. This is probably one of the hardest things to overcome as humans because of the pain others can cause us.

"My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry" - James 1:19

Being slow to anger and quick to forgive is something that takes a long time to grasp and achieve but well worth practicing. As christians, we have to rise above the hurt and understand that when we are speaking openly about God, working hard at our places of employment, we are also working towards serving God.

I would like to invite you all as the readers and fellow christians to post and share your experiences on how you overcame criticism and discouragement in the workplace or anywhere in life. Were you ever criticized when speaking openly about Christ? When we can be open to share our life experiences in a positive way, we not only help others, but we can share God's message of trust and perseverance in God almighty and our christian faith.
