Asking for Forgiveness

When we hurt someone else, we ask for forgiveness from them, even if it's something small. God wants us to do the same thing for Him.

In our personal life, we may commit a sin that we don't even think about, like accidentally cursing or thinking bad thoughts for just a few seconds. When we commit a sin, no matter how small, we should be asking God to forgive us the next time that we pray. If we sin against someone, ask God for forgiveness, then ask the person for forgiveness too, knowing that God will give us the courage to ask that person. Forgiveness also brings peace, which is why we must make it an integral part of our lives.

If anyone has caused grief, he has not so much grieved me as he has grieved all of you to some extent—not to put it too severely. The punishment inflicted on him by the majority is sufficient. Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. I urge you, therefore, to reaffirm your love for him. 2 Corinthians 2:5-8

In the end, just don’t forget to ask God for forgiveness, no matter how large or small the issue, he will be there to guide you.
