Loving Yourself

     God wants you to love yourself just like he does, no matter what your situation is in life. The world on the other hand has a different idea. In order for you to love yourself according to the world’s standards, you should be a certain weight; have a particular style; or have to have this certain car. Once you have all that then maybe, just maybe you can love yourself that is until the newer model comes, you got to have the latest iPhone too according to the world (just kidding on that).

     All we should need to love yourself is God, no matter what your situation is those worldly things are nice to have but at the end of the day those things will break, rust, even your body will one day start to break down. 

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Matthew 6:19

Once you start loving yourself and more importantly loving God, others will see this and wonder why he or she is so happy? That’s when the opportunity will arise to tell them more about Jesus. The more that you love Jesus and yourself first, the more he will bless your life. 

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33
