True Meaning of Easter

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

     With yesterday being Easter, I thought it would be a perfect time to discuss the holiday. The holiday has been commercialized and some people think it’s about the Easter Bunny, egg hunts, and jelly beans. Easter is really about the resurrection of Jesus after he was crucified on the cross for our sins.  We need to be sure to let children (your kids, nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, etc.) know the real meaning of Easter. In today’s society the meaning of certain holidays gets lost in the commercialization of it. Letting kids know that Jesus died for our sins but was resurrected and how his love for us is so amazing is a great lesson and teaching opportunity. I hope everyone had a great Easter with family and friends and were able to talk about the true meaning of Easter and enjoy each other’s company.
